| IT'S
YOUR CHOICE |
|
An audioguide is a practical tool, available any time
in a range of languages to facilitate complete access to your
exhibition. Audioguides help visitors from all over the world
appreciate the treasures your museum houses and the exhibitions
it holds, providing background knowledge and interesting insights
- clearly, competently, and comprehensively.
Your audioguide is customized for your target group. Customizing is crucial where
exhibitions are designed to primarily attract a broader general public, an informed
audience, families with children, or people with disabilities. But whatever your
target group,
LINON Medien – ensures your exhibition content is heard.

|
| THE
CLASSIC AUDIOGUIDE... |
... gives an accessible and clear insight into the exhibits
and the context
... provides additional background information
... offers supplementary audio information to add depth and color (original historical
recordings or other sources )
... can be structured either as a linear tour, guiding the visitor from one key
exhibit to the next along, for example, a chronological timeline
... or as an independent tour route letting visitors discover exhibits for themselves,
selecting those they want to learn more about.

| THE
EXPERIENTIAL TOUR... |
... creates an immediacy that draws visitors into the context
... generates a background atmosphere
... integrates emotive elements
... packages information as dialogues or short dramatic scenes
For example: The 1848 Revolution
In the "Revolution 1848 in Lörrach" exhibition in the
Museum am Burghof, Lörrach, the audioguide draws visitors into the events,
providing a vivid picture of the views then current among the Lörrach citizens,
the revolutionaries and, not least, the Grand Duke of Baden's informers – all
illustrating different perspectives on the revolution!

| THE
KIDS' TOUR... |
... conveys a sense of excitement and discovery
... reflects children's own interests and knowledge
... provides children with their own access to the exhibition and the museal
world
For example: The Nibelungenlied
In the Nibelungen Museum in Worms, the kids' tour employs a central narrative
device, with the Nibelungenlied poet recounting the saga, and a series
of exciting scenes detailing the story of the main characters: The courageous
Siegfried and the power-hungry Hagen, the proud Princess Krimhild and Queen Brünhild,
the dwarf Alberich with his magic cloak of invisibility and, of course, Fafnir,
the serpent-like Lindworm.

| TOURS
WITHOUT BORDERS... |
... for example, for people with visual impairment: A tour
providing additional details to aid orientation, describe extra
exhibits, and provide an overview of the exhibition design
and rooms.
... or for people with mental disabilities: Summarizing the key aspects of the
tour in a compact form in easy language (based on the guidelines provided by
the Netzwerk People First Deutschland e.V. association).
For example: "Der (im-)perfekte Mensch" exhibition
Shown in 2001 in the Deutsche Hygiene-Museum in Dresden and, in 2002,
in the Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin with a number of parallel audioguides:
Besides the classic tour, there was also an audioguide via a special earpiece
for people with impaired hearing, a tour for the blind and visually impaired
adapted to the overall design and layout of key exhibits, and an "easy language" tour. |
